Recreational Hub

Uden-Noord – 2020-present

The northern outskirts of Uden have been designated as a transformation zone. Various developments have already been initiated in this context, including the construction of a new hospital, hotel-restaurant, food court and new homes. The Maashorst nature reserve, which measures more than 2400 ha (almost 6000 acres), is also situated on the north side of the city of Uden. A location on the Doelenweg would be the ideal place for a new recreational hub to open up the Maashorst from Uden.

P15 has been asked by the land owners to draw up a development plan that combines recreation and nature into an attractive whole. The plan includes a restaurant with visitor center in addition to a parking lot, playground, camper pitches and accommodation (hikers’ cabins and safari tents) within a green framework. Embedding in the existing network of walking and cycling paths will also create a practical recreational junction here. A planning application has been submitted.
