Heritage transformation

Neerkant – 2019-present

P15 was approached by the owners of a former drinking water supply station to facilitate the change of use and advise in the planning process. To that end, an analysis of the location, surrounding landscape and the phenomenon of drinking water supply stations in providing a sufficient supply of potable water in rural areas was made. The resulting spatial strategy of retaining the specific heritage of the site in combination with redevelopment as a private dwelling was presented to the Heritage Commission and Municipal Quality Board. This strategy was approved and is elaborated by an architect in close consultation with P15.
